Last night, my stepdad's father passed away. The last person I considered as a living grandparent. The passing of a generation has completed itself. So I go through bouts of deep sadness in between the panic of the fire.

I'm sorry to hear about your step dad's father. It would stink at any time, but especially at this time.
My thoughts are with you. I know the house fire thing, and it's not fun, but it does reinforce what's important. I'm thinking of you...lots!
