This was our grocery list the other day. You can read my writing, can't you? Who wouldn't know that a+hx3 was Arm & Hammer, 3 boxes? And also Don had trouble with "lettuce." He thought I had written 6A~C.
OK I have to confess it isn't my finest work. I think maybe other parts of my brain are being used more heavily than the handwriting synapses.

And I think my handwriting is terrible. I postulate that the smarter you are, the more illegible your handwriting. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
As the famly member with the most legible (and professionally utilized) handwriting, I don't like that theory, Mom.
Well, you have been the exception to the rule on several occasions. I guess this is one, but don't let it go to your head.
Feh.
Kudos to Shelley for actually writing down a grocery list! (I could read it all but the athx3, which in NYC is read as 3 anthrax threats).
I write it down because my short term memory is gone.
I don't think this says anything about my intelligence... I think it says something about the extent to which I care that people can read what I write.
Also my short term memory is gone.
